Edwin Morgan was many things: the first Makar of Scotland, a prolific writer (with over 60 published works), a passionate translation advocate, and a person with a kaleidoscopic range of interests. Although sensationally generous with his words and spirit, he did not publicly come out as a gay man until he was 70, bringing new meaning to his previous work and a sense of liberation to what came after. Today, writers including Colin Bramwell, Ellen McAteer, and Gregory Woods talk about poetry, queerness, translation, and freedom. Chaired by Ishbel McFarlane.
