Spending his days teaching tennis to distracted families and his nights partying with strangers, aimless former tennis champion Tom (Sam Riley) has resigned himself to a life of boredom and hedonism on the rugged island of Fuerteventura. When he meets a troubled family and is drawn to enigmatic young mother Anne (Stacy Martin), he is unwittingly drawn into a web of mystery, finding his small life upended and thrown into emotional turmoil.

A smartly written and beautifully performed psychological thriller, this poised, elegant film from acclaimed director Jan-Ole Gerster builds to a wholly unexpected conclusion that is at once shocking and deeply affecting.
