Following its original 2023 installation in Leith, Craigmillar Library is now the long-term home of Rabiya Choudhry’s illuminated artwork, Give light and people will find the way (Ella Baker).
Part of Choudhry’s Lost Lighting series, the artwork features Andrew Carnegie’s flaming torch motif and words from African-American civil rights activist Ella Baker. The unveiling of this work will coincide with Dear Library, a new exhibition celebrating 100 years of the National Library of Scotland, featuring Choudhry’s work.

Following its original 2023 installation in Leith, Craigmillar Library is now the long-term home of Rabiya Choudhry’s illuminated artwork, Give light and people will find the way (Ella Baker).
