In the aftermath of a nuclear meltdown at the power plant they helped build, two retired scientists have abandoned their home for a seaside cottage outside the contamination zone. From here Robin can tend to his cows and Hazel can keep order. Order is hope. And hope is life. But now a shiver ripples through the cottage, as they receive a visit from Rose, a former colleague, with a frightening offer. Death has come to call.
