What can we learn from how people of the past confronted grief? Writing as a grief practice has comforted people across time and cultures, including in Japan where Buddhist writing rituals were thought to positively influence the Karma of your ancestors, repairing karmic deficits while consoling the living. Practice this fascinating and ancient art yourself with Japanese Buddhist Art scholar, Halle O'Neal. Participants are welcome to bring cherished letters and objects to the workshop to weave into the practice. Material will also be provided.
