The Women in Conflict 1325 Fellowship - run by Beyond Borders Scotland in partnership with the University of Edinburgh Law School and funded by the Scottish Government – brings together women from all over the world who are working at the frontlines of peacemaking and conflict resolution. Join Khulood al Saidi, Alaa Assani and Shatha Altowai who are alumnae of the Fellowship as they reflect on the crucial, but often overlooked, role women play in building peace, preserving communities, and ensuring justice after conflict and political transitions. They will bring their perspectives as women in the Syrian and Yemeni diasporas highlighting and uplifting women in what are often (mis-)named ‘forgotten conflicts’. Chaired by Roxani Krystalli.
