Humour us though, as poet and translator Ian Patterson (Books - A Manifesto) encourages reading past your comfort zone – adding avant-garde poems or a bonkbuster to your shelves, perhaps. He’s joined by journalist and bestseller Cathy Rentzenbrink who, in The Agatha Cure, looks through Christie’s canon, asking: who are books for, why do we read, and why do we sometimes stop?
