Historian William Dalrymple is renowned for his decades of research about India’s pivotal role in shaping the ancient world, and for uncovering connections between the past and present. This special event – fresh from Celtic Connections – includes readings from Dalrymple about the history and relationship between India and Scotland, as well as music from the astounding India Alba collective, who fuse the raga gats of Indian classical music with the melodies of the Scottish Highlands.
