What is normal when algorithms decide? Data analysts synthesise the distorted live experiment that is ‘the Samsa family’. Gregor wakes grotesquely transformed – every movement tracked, predicted, judged. Is he broken, or just outside the data set? They measure behaviour, forecast reaction.
