Join poet Remi Graves for a writing workshop exploring the narrative and symbolic potential of objects. Inspired by the artefacts on display in History is A Home the workshop will encourage participants to draw out the memories, symbolisms and possible future lives of objects they hold dear. We’ll lean on texts from Remi’s book coal as well as work by other writers and contemporary artists to explore the lives of objects and where they might take us. Participants are encouraged to bring an object (or image of an object) with them.

These sessions aim to address and overcome systemic barriers that people face directly or indirectly based on their ethnic or national identities, race or perceived racial identities, or the colour of their skin as per the Equality Act 2010.
