On 13 March 1996, at Dunblane Primary School, 16 pupils and one teacher were murdered, and many more injured, in the deadliest mass shooting in British history. The crime didn’t just shock the nation, it changed it – but only after an extraordinary political battle by a group of grieving parents determined that the atrocity would never be repeated. Journalist and BAFTA award-winning documentarian Stephen McGinty, author of One Morning in March, reveals the story of that devastating day, the troubling events which preceded it, and its lasting legacy. Chaired by Laura Miller.
