Despite the ‘ceasefire’, the war in the Palestinian Occupied Territories has continued with impunity. Palestinian activist, scholar, and author of Hamas Contained: A History of Palestinian Resistance, Tareq Baconi, joins British-Israeli ‘new historian’, Ilan Pappé (Israel on the Brink), who argues that Israel’s greatest threat is now not external forces, but itself. They reflect on how the latest phase of the conflict has developed, the complicated evolution of Hamas, and what steps need to be taken for restorative justice and reconciliation. Chaired by Esa Aldegheri.
