Murder Ballad + The Unrecovered: Lucy Ribchester & Richard Strachan

Lucy Ribchester was born in Edinburgh. She studied English at the University of St Andrews, graduating with First Class Honours and went on to gain a Masters in Shakespearean Studies at Kings College London and Shakespeare’s Globe. In 2013 she won a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award and in 2015 was shortlisted for the Costa Short Story Award.

Richard Strachan lives in Edinburgh with his family. He is the winner of a New Writer’s Award from the Scottish Book Trust and has been shortlisted for competitions like the Manchester Fiction Prize and the Bridport Prize. He has written book reviews for The List, The Herald and The Scottish Review of Books, and his short fiction has been published in magazines like Weird Horror, The Dark, Interzone, Gutter and New Writing Scotland, amongst many others.
