Kate Dickie stars in Andrea Arnold’s debut feature as a lonely CCTV security operator monitoring Glasgow’s fabled Red Road high rises. Arnold’s gritty, psychological thriller is a masterclass in visual storytelling, expertly building tension and intrigue as the truth of her motivations are gradually revealed. Dickie’s subtle, restrained performance is supported by powerful turns from Tony Curran and Martin Compston, in a beautiful, emotionally charged film about loss and revenge.
