Join Resistance photographers Pam Isherwood and Maggie Murray for a discussion about Format, the agency founded as a collective to represent women photographers. Format was established in 1983 and operated for two decades ending in 2003.
This talk will be held in the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre at the National Gallery, and will also be streamed online via YouTube.
Resistance is an exhibition conceived by acclaimed artist and filmmaker Steve McQueen at the National Galleries of Scotland: Modern Two. Resistance explores how acts of resistance have shaped life in the UK, and the powerful role of photography in documenting and driving change.
